Nottingham Band FISTS Announce Details of Debut Album

Nottingham band and Spoonster Spouts Ones to Watch FISTS have finally released details of their long awaited and much anticipated debut album. The LP entitled Phantasm will be released on July 8th through the brilliant Hello Thor and Gringo Records.

Phantasm was recorded on the Thames aboard the Lightship 95 recording studio and has been produced by the talented Rory Brattwell. A friend of the band, Brattwell was behind the band’s excellent Ascending/Stag release and has worked with the likes of Let’s Wrestle and Palma Violets.

The 11 track album was written and arranged following a US tour with Obits at the latter half of 2012. It will include a seven minute Malian-sounding psyche-folk jam as well as the more typical FISTS material.

To whet the appetite further, the band have released Solvent, a delicious cut of beefed up alt-grunge with a healthy amount of scuzz, an unhealthy rattle and trademark harmonies.

FISTS mark the launch of Phantasm with an all day knees-up and musical extravaganza at the Union Boat Club in Nottingham, kicking off at 2pm on June 8th.
