Scout Niblett is England’s answer to Cat Power, but thankfully minus the tantrums. Although lacking Marshall’s infamous temper, Niblett shares with her the ability to convey goosebump inducing anguish. On latest album, The Calcination of Scout Niblett, uber-producer Steve Albini captured the cathartic energy of her minimalist grunge.
